The RD 400 is done at last, it sounds superb!

No time to MOT and final road testing because we are taking to the Stafford show this weekend (15/16th Oct)

We have a stand this year in the middle of the main hall next to Z-Power.

Our stand will have 6 bikes, all for sale : RD400C (£3595), GT250 X7 2 off (£1995/£1495) XS400 ((£1050) , NS400R (£3995), SS50 (£1495)

We have a few free gifts and are offering a show discount of 10% for any cash buyer.

Drop by and say hello if you are going.

Yamaha RD400 C update

by Tony 9. September 2011 19:58

Our Yamaha RD400c is very close to being finished.

I sneaked a quick ride on it today (only up to 5,000rpm) and it rides great!

Main jets were for K+N filters, so I will have to change them to match the standard air box and filter.

New sealed battery will be fitted tomorrow, this will give me room to fit the Piranha ignition unit in the same space as the battery.

This will also prevent any future acid spills/stains.

Dave is painting the side pannel and we await its return.

The engine is back in the frame,

Oil pump service kit has arrived and will be fitted before using the pump.

Just a few more parts to fit after the engine covers have cured.

Yamaha RD400 C progress so far

by Tony 7. June 2011 19:28

The fuel tank and exhaust we have been fitted, after 2 days cleaning and polishing.

They are not new and have a few marks but are in nice original condition.

We are using these if we are to keep the finished price nearer £3000 than £4000.

It is looking realy nice now and catches everyone's eye while it's parked in the shop.

We should have finished restoring more parts soon (bead blasting, plating, painting etc)

and will post progress again next week.
