Wez Bike finished and at the Stafford show

by Tony 18. October 2010 21:32

Its done!, the pictures were taken on the Z-Power stand at the Stafford show.

The seat was covered in sheepskin by Colin Wilcox (but he says he wont own up to it if asked)

I piped up a "napalm flame thower" through the centre of the Minigun exhaust and added "Nos" to the inlet manifold.

A "Pipe bomb" was added to the fairing along with some crossbow arrows.

Wez's dog tag was fitted to the seat release, at this point Dave arrived to transport the bike (and stopped my imagination getting the better of me).

When we put the bike on the stand Dave added some bullet holes and then attached "condaleny's hand" to the back of the bike ( like in Mad Max 1) and we were set.

The bike brought a lot of smiles to a lot of people and gave us a lot pleasure in its creation.

If we had more time the motor would have been finished and we could have ridden it, maybe I might finish it off and get it on the road one day, It depends if someone would like to buy it!

If I get enough interest or make any more bikes from films, it may start of a new venture "Screen Bikes" any Idea's let me know.

Wez bike is nearly done

by Tony 12. October 2010 22:19

Dave has dropped the bike back off for the last few bits.

Mini-Gun Exhaust is nearly done, I worked on it till 8pm then watched England, Wish I hadn't bothered(again)

Will finish off on Thursday ready for taking to Stafford show ( Z-Power Stand)

Fairing work

by Tony 9. October 2010 21:16

I have fitted some LED arrow indicators behind perforated Stainless in the fairing and Dave is sorting the paint.

I have painted the Petrol tank in satin black and Dave at Z-Power has nearly assembled all the other parts into the frame. (He's been working very hard)

He will return the bike to me on Monday so I can make/fit the Turbo tailpipe and a few other bits.

frame back from powder coating

by Tony 6. October 2010 18:24

I have finished all the frame mods after loosely fitting the seat, faring, rear light etc etc.

I modified a Z1R front mudguard in keeping with the "style"  and "de-lugged" the top yoke.

Powder coating in satin black looks the part.

I will deliver the frame to Dave at Z-Power so he can start fitting the parts he has been preparing while I was sorting the frame etc.

I best get the fairing, clocks, rear mudguard, panels etc sorted only a week left to the Stafford show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wez's frame is done!

by Tony 6. October 2010 18:12

This first pic is the frame and tank to start the project.

I have put on  the first fairing bracket and found some yokes.

I have now cut the back off the frame to fit the rear light and seat unit and welded the new fixings on (but lost the picture)

Wez Bike

by Tony 21. August 2010 20:25

Where do I start with this one? Those wonderful guys at Z-Power are at it again!

After my involvement with the frame mods on Dave's MFP Mad Max bike last year, Dave has asked me to help out creating a road legal bike based on the bike used by Wez (Wesley Xavier Zonault) love that name, in the Mad Max 2 movie.

We got together, I made a few suggestions, not many of them were useful but I soon got the jist of what Dave wanted. He gave me access to an abundance of scrap metal that he said was Quality Z1/Z900/Z1000 parts, he gave me his guidelines and set my imagination free on his next creation.

My job was to give him a complete frame  with all modifications to carry the  parts that he was getting together, we would then do a quick build to check it all fits before Dave has his wicked way with it to create the finished article.

Now this has to be finished for the Stafford Show in October so I better pull my finger out. "No More Talk, Losers Wait"

I will post my progress as we go,  Sorry for the poor picture below  but its hard to find a good one to work off.
