The Harley is finally back together. Exhaust wrap looks great and the engine sounds superb. Some careful road testing and final checks and it's ready to go!
Jim's Harley 1250cc - Big bore is running
I have managed to get some time in on Jim's 1250cc big bore conversion this weekend and its running! I drained some oil from the sump and spun the engine over with out plugs first, topped up the oil fitted new plugs and ran it on a fuel bottle for a couple of minutes. The oil and filter were then replaced and I will run it again when the tank and exhausts are fitted.

I have stripped Jim's 883 Harley ready to fit the 1250cc Big Bore kit. Them new "stones" are rather large! This should be interesting :)

We have the 1250cc big bore kit for Jim's Harley We are using standard heads so ours should be like the green graph below.( nearly double the original horsepower) Bike is on the ramp, tank etc removed, we are hoping to start removing the old bits on Monday or Tuesday.
